![]() ![]() Adding level 1 residential areas causes the demand for level one commercial areas to grow. When I built a park affecting only the green and a small part of the blue sections, G 1, G 2, and B 1 rose.Īdding electric and water systems had no effect on the chart. When I built one 4*4 yellow area, G 2 and B 1 rose, and Y 1 and Y 2 fell. When I build one 4*4 blue area, G 2 and Y 1 rose. When I built a 4*4 green area with roads surrounding it, B 1 rose. In other words, only residential areas are in demand, at the beginning. When you start a new city, G 1 is slightly higher than the others. In the game, "demand" means potential for growth, or how fast a particular area will grow. All the experiments took place in medium difficulty.I will be calling the leftmost green bar G 1, the middle green bar G 2, the rightmost green bar G 3, and all the others in a similar fashion. You can check a building's level by pressing on it and counting the number of T signss. Different bars of the same color represent different "levels" of buildings. The chart with green, blue, and yellow bars describes the demand for different areas. That way those who actually wanted to share the map could do so, since the map seed will generate slightly different maps on different computers, but if you don't care about the configuration of industries and just want the topography, the Map Seed is good enough. I really with we had the option to upload save games to the Workshop. All the cities and names of cities were otherwise identical, but it wouldn't have been possible to play along with him because I would be connecting different resources to different industries. I used his exact same map settings and seed, and generated an identical map with the exception of the location of industries, and the roads. When it comes to city names and locations, with identical map settings and map seed they will be identical on different computers (with the same OS), but roads, resources, and factories will be in different places. When you change whether the game generates a European (Green) map, or USA (Brown) map, the spawn locations of towns and industries are identical, but where you might have a town on the USA version, you might have a Farm with fields or the European version instead. My experience with the map seeds is that you should be able to get the same terrain and topography with the same map seed and settings regardless of the computer that generated it (though as mentioned different Operating Systems will probably generate different terrain. Some might be more interesting with higher/lower elevation.įYI: Remember to make a backup folder of your save game folder to keep your initial maps, so you don't lose them if something happens in game. Also have not regened them with different elevation types. Maps are 1x3 and mostly saved for geography than town/industry placement, so might be little hard starting off in. Hate the yellow sand for USA, so use Euro grass instead, but with all USA settings. Two rivers at each end of map converging in the middle segment.īattlestarGalactica - Flat.
